Ashton Barry

Coordinator, Marketing and Logistics

Ashton leads business development and communications for The Cook Political Report, a non-partisan political analysis publication. Additionally, Ashton oversees the marketing efforts and day to day operations of the publication.

Before coming to Cook Political, Ashton worked in the Elon University Office of Admissions. During her time at Elon, she was an active member of the political community, working as a field manager for a national campaign office and voter registration drive. She then moved to London, England, where she worked in the office of a Member of Parliament both prior to and throughout the 2010 national campaign. When she first came to the East Coast Ashton interned within the Maryland State General Assembly.

Ashton has a B.A. in Political Science from Elon University. She is a member of Women in Government Relations and the Public Affairs Council. Ashton is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area and currently lives in Annapolis, Maryland.
