Republicans' 2012 redistricting map effectively packed Democrats into just two districts, the Nashville-based 5th and the Memphis-based 9th, and the GOP's 7-2 edge looks solid for the foreseeable future. That's shifted the action to the primaries, and while GOP Rep. Chuck Fleischmann looks like a favorite in the 3rd CD, 4th CD GOP Rep. Scott DesJarlais currently looks like the most vulnerable incumbent in the country.

TN-01: Phil Roe (R) - East: Bristol, Kingsport, Johnson City Solid Republican. Roe, one of his party's leading voices against the health care reform law, is safely entrenched in the most Republican district in the state. He took 76 percent in 2012.

TN-02: Jimmy Duncan (R) - East: Knoxville Solid Republican. Duncan, who occasionally departed from the GOP line on the Iraq War, is nonetheless an institution in this Knoxville district and has been reelected easily for over two decades. He took 74 percent in 2012 and won't have any trouble in 2014.
