The 1986 elections clearly focused on the battle for control of the Senate, and the Presidential campaign dominated the political news in 1988, and 1990 may bring a different story altogether. The current climate may well create a situation where the House will be the most interesting political story for next year. Certainly there are a half-dozen or so interesting Senate races and an equal number of important Governors races with obvious implications for reapportionment, but the House shows all of the early signs for a turbulent campaign.
