In a coup for the NRCC, Democratic state Sen. Evan Jenkins announced this morning that he will switch parties and become a Republican to challenge 19-term Democratic Rep. Nick Rahall in 2014. Rahall represents the second-most Republican district of any Democrat in the House, and won by some of the smallest margins of his career against flawed GOP opponents in 2010 and 2012. The race moves to the Lean Democratic column.
